The Law Offices of Johnine Clark, P.A. was founded in 1997. Prior to opening her firm Johnine had clerked with judges and worked with a number of law firms in the DC Metropolitan area honing her litigation skills.

From its’ humble beginnings until now the firm has always sought to provide quality legal services coupled with excellent responsive customer service.

Beginning in the Fall of 2013 the firm experienced an increase in its’ male clientele. These fathers were not only looking for successful outcomes in their cases, but more importantly, they desired to maintain positive relationships with their children. Greenbelt Federal Credit Union

There was no banking facilities in Greenbelt when the first families moved in. So a group of pioneer residents put their heads together and decided to organize a credit union. Greenbelt Federal Credit Union was issued a charter December 13, 1937. It became the first community credit union in the area and the first financial institution in Greenbelt. The new organization thrived and steadily increased in size, assisted later by the co-op store operations, which provided space without charge for the expanding credit union.

In 1952, Greenbelt Federal Credit Union was faced with its greatest challenge. The Public Housing Administration was selling the Greenbelt project and announced that down payments on at least 500 of the homes must be made by the end of the year in order for the resident-formed corporation to buy the project. The Credit Union was swamped with loan applications and its funds were soon exhausted. Additional funds were raised through a campaign for savings and by borrowing from another credit union.

Today, the Credit Union has over 2800 members.

LeneNicole. Candle Co.

Based in Maryland, minutes from the District of Columbia, LeneNicole. Candle Co. is a Black woman-owned home-based small business focused on creating safe, high-quality candles that embrace the collective of all things manifested, but not spoken, by our mind, body, and soul. That mantra inspires our motto: candles that express your mind + mood.

Founder Darlene Parks created LeneNicole. Candle Co. after realizing the impact of spending endless amounts on big-box brand + high-end candles that weren’t relatable or reflective of a true feeling or mood and did not exude physical distinctiveness or promote a safe and non-toxic burn.

LeneNicole. Candle Co. puts a dynamic twist on luxury in a jar. Our unique, one-of-a-kind Signature and Exclusive mood. Collections expand on how we all occasionally feel and think, hence our mood.
